The Kareena Kapoor-led ‘The Buckingham Murders’, which opened in theatres on Friday (September 13), is struggling at the domestic box office despite receiving favourable reviews. This, however, is along expected lines given its genre and lack of commercial elements. ‘The Buckingham Murders’ is a thriller, directed by Hansal Mehta.

For a film that began with a modest ₹50 crore budget, Stree 2 has outdone itself. Even after five weeks, the film continues to pull in crores, albeit at a slightly slower pace.

Vijay-starrer has successfully completed its 14-day run in theatres. It has minted over Rs 200 crore in Tamil Nadu alone.

Shraddha and Rajkummar's film maintains its lead, earns Rs 2 crores, three times more than Kareena Kapoor Khan's The Buckingham Murders.

Stree 2 directed by Amar Kaushik and starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao among many others is an all time blockbuster at the box office. The movie has collected around Rs 555.50 crore net (Rs 666 crore gross) at the Indian box office after 5 weeks while it has grossed USD 15.

As the film inches closer to the Rs 600 crore mark, the excitement surrounding Stree 2 continues to grow. Its consistent performance, even in its fifth week, is a testament to the film’s broad appeal and strong word-of-mouth buzz.

One of the biggest milestones for Stree 2 was surpassing the box office collections of Jawan, which had previously held the record for the highest-grossing Hindi film.
