Falcons wide receiver Drake London was penalized after catching a touchdown pass in the final minute of Atlanta’s 22-21 victory in Philadelphia on Monday night for pretending to shoot in the air, a violation of a longstanding NFL rule that prohibits such gestures.

Two days after Drake London scored the go-ahead touchdown on "Monday Night Football" and celebrated by pantomiming shooting a gun into the air, the Atlanta Falcons wide receiver said he wasn't pleased with how it all went down.

Kirk Cousins led a flawless last-minute drive for Atlanta and connected with Drake London for a 7-yard touchdown with 34 seconds left to give the Falcons a 22-21 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles.

Atlanta entered the season expecting to field a high-powered aerial attack. It struggled in the season opener, as nine-figure free agent quarterback Kirk Cousins went 16-of-26 for 155 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions.

Coach Raheem Morris called wide receiver Drake London pretending to fire a gun, just over a week after the team honored victims of the shooting at Apalachee High School, “a mistake.”

The field goal gave the Falcons the 21-20 lead (and win), but it was farther away because of London’s 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty following a celebration in which it appeared he mimed shooting a machine gun.
