Relaying the situation of her constituents, Batanes Governor Marilou Cayco could not hold back tears at a face-to-face briefing with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. during his visit to the typhoon-hit northern provinces of Batanes and Ilocos Norte on Friday.

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. visits Basco, Batanes in the aftermath of Typhoon Julian on Friday. Marcos spoke to residents affected by the typhoon before inspecting the damage to Basco Central School and distributing relief goods.

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. announced that his office will release P25 million to further assist families affected by Typhoon Julian in Batanes. Marcos was in Basco, Batanes on Friday for an aid distribution activity for residents who were devastated by the typhoon.

President Ferdinand ''Bongbong'' Marcos Jr. said Friday that his office would provide P25 million to the provincial government of Batanes to help in its recovery following the onslaught of Typhoon Julian.
