Gladiator 2 arrives in theaters this weekend, and if you were hoping to see Denzel Washington’s character kiss a man, well I’ve got bad news for you. While that scene was apparently filmed, it was cut because, according to Washington, the people in charged chickened out.

Denzel Washington revealed in a video interview with Gayety that he kissed a man on the lips while filming “Gladiator II,” but the scene was cut out from the theatrical cut of the long-awaited sequel.

Denzel Washington recently spilled on a same-sex kiss scene he filmed for “ Gladiator II ” that won’t make it to the big screen this month. “I actually kissed a man in the film, but they took it out, they cut it, I think they got chicken,” said the actor, who plays Macrinus in the “Gladiator” sequel, in an interview with Gayety’s Caitlynn McDaniel.
