Police identified three of four people killed in a crash that ended a high-speed pursuit in Upland as teenagers.

A car driven by a suspected DUI driver fled police in Rancho Cucamonga and crashed into another car in Upland on Friday, injuring three people and killing four.

Deputies later determined that the Hyundai had been reported stolen out of Fontana.  A loaded firearm was found on one of the dead occupants.

UPLAND, Calif. - Four people are dead following an overnight pursuit crash that left a vehicle split in half in Upland. Officials believe one of the drivers involved in the violent wreck was under the influence.

Michael Adrian Gomez, 17, of Pomona, and Joel Jeremiah Silva, 16, of Fontana perished in the June 28 crash, the Coroner’s Office said.

The crash happened at North Mountain Avenue and West 16th Street where debris was scattered throughout the intersection.
