A man has confessed to killing a Montana camper who was initially reported to be the victim of a bear attack, authorities said Thursday.

Dustin Kjersem was found dead by a friend who reported he appeared to have been killed by a bear. An autopsy later showed Kjersem sustained "multiple chop wounds."
