After more than a decade, passengers will again be able to fly direct from Seattle to Copenhagen on Scandinavian Airlines.

After 57 years, Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) will have direct flights to Seattle again starting next summer. On Tuesday, Scandinavian Airlines announced five weekly direct flights from Copenhagen to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport starting in the summer of 2025.

The move comes just weeks after SAS officially left Star Alliance to join SkyTeam as part of a broader restructuring. The shift includes an investment by the Air France-KLM Group, which has taken a 19.9% stake in the airline. SAS has also secured approval from the U.S. Transportation Department (DOT) to commence codeshare flights with Delta.

Tacoma International Airport (SEA) welcomes the announcement of five weekly nonstop flights to Copenhagen on Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) starting in May 2025. SAS will operate seasonal summer flights to Denmark’s capital city.

SAS Scandinavian Airlines (SK) has announced an extensive expansion plan to establish a global hub in Scandinavia, starting with Copenhagen (CPH). The Danish capital will see improved network connectivity in the summer of 2025,

SAS says it will continue offering “robust services” from Oslo Gardermoen Airport (OSL) and Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ARN), its other two hubs. Operations at OSL will include up to 125 daily departures to more than 60 destinations, while ARN will maintain over 70 routes with 120 daily departures.
