The NYPD is asking the public to assist them in finding the two suspects who took an unoccupied subway car on a joyride last week. The pair fled the scene after the train crashed.

A teenage girl wearing all pink including a shower cap managed to drive off in an empty train and take it on a joyride, before crashing. The 17-year-old and a companion are accused of breaking into a New York City subway train at the Briarwood station in Queens and somehow managing to start the engine.

Officials said the brief underground joyride took place around midnight last Thursday at the Briarwood station. The teen and a male accomplice allegedly entered the empty subway train and grabbed the controls,

Two 17-year-olds were arrested and charged with two counts of criminal mischief in the first degree, and reckless endangerment in the first degree.
