Sony introduces restrictions for PS5 Pro 30th Anniversary Edition pre-orders in Japan to combat scalpers and give genuine buyers a fair shot.

The 30th-anniversary bundle and consoles for the PlayStation are in monumental demand, but Japan wants to make sure the consoles are going to gamers and not scalpers.

Mashable reached out to Sony to find out whether the company expects the PS5 Pro to sell out quickly at launch since initial availability is limited to one retailer, and if it had any plans to avoid inventory shortages. At the time of writing, we hadn't heard back.
