President-elect Trump announced Tuesday that he's selected William McGinley to serve as White House Counsel. President-elect Donald Trump named William “Bill” McGinley to serve as his White House counsel Tuesday, filling a critical role inside the West Wing.

McGinley previously served as White House Cabinet secretary in the first half of Trump’s first term in office and was the Republican National Committee’s outside counsel for “election integrity” during the 2024 election.
