Walmart Inc. is welcoming more customers with special needs — along with their families and caregivers — by offering shopping carts with an integrated plastic seat for older children and adults.

Caroline’s Carts are designed for caregivers supporting a wide array of people, including those with disabilities, children, seniors, and people with limited mobility or injuries. Walmart has introduced Caroline’s Carts into all of its stores in Arizona,

Walmart is equipping its stores with specialized shopping carts designed to make it easier for people with disabilities and their caregivers to navigate store aisles. The carts have a large backward-facing seat so the person sitting in it and their parent or caregiver can see each other. The full-size shopping basket is in the front of the cart.

DALLAS — Walmart announced Thursday that DFW-area locations are introducing specialized shopping carts dubbed "Caroline's Carts," which are designed to help caregivers of children and adults with disabilities easily navigate stores.
