Dusty May's Michigan basketball coaching debut was a success as the Wolverines hammered Cleveland State, 101-53, on Monday at Crisler Center.

The Wolverines cruized to a 101-53 victory over Cleveland State in their season-opener on Monday night, as Michigan used the combination of a high-tempo offense and tenacious defense to overwhelm the Vikings in Ann Arbor.

Michigan took a few minutes to assert itself, getting to a double-digit lead fairly early. Cleveland State hung around for a bit, but by the under-four media timeout in the first half, the Wolverines had a commanding lead and full control of the game.
