Dozens of monkeys are on the loose after escaping from a research center in South Carolina. Officials said that 43 Rhesus macaque primates being used for biomedical research escaped the Alpha Genesis Primate Research Center in Yemassee on Wednesday.

Dozens of monkeys are on the loose in Yemassee, SC. This isn’t the first time primates escaped from the facility.

Officials are still struggling to recapture monkeys that escaped a research facility in Yemassee, South Carolina, last week. According to the Associated Press, as of Monday afternoon, 13 out of the 43 young female Rhesus macaques remain on the loose in the forested area surrounding the facility run by Alpha Genesis,
