Tropical Storm Rafael formed in the Caribbean on Monday, a storm that's predicted to intensify into a hurricane and threaten the Gulf Coast this weekend.

Rain, tropical-storm-force winds and even the potential for some tornadoes are possible for some portions of Florida with Tropical Storm Rafael.

Tropical Storm Rafael continues to move across the Caribbean toward Cuba and the Gulf of Mexico. According to the National Hurricane Center, the storm is moving northwest at 13 mph with sustained wind speeds of 60 mph.
