Arkansas (1-1) was within 70-67 when freshman Boogie Fland, who finished with 17 points and seven assists, hit a long 3-pointer with 24 seconds left. Baylor then managed to break the press and freshman V.J. Edgecombe made two free throws.

Baylor bounced back after a tough season opener to secure its first win of the season with a 72-67 victory over Arkansas. The Bears burst out of the gates rushing out to an early eight point lead. Jayden Nunn led the way with 10 points in the first 12 minutes

Arkansas basketball once again struggled from 3, and Baylor made the Hogs pay in their first loss of the John Calipari era.
