On Monday, a new era began as new head coach Dusty May's surprisingly cohesive group of mostly transfer players took on the Cleveland State Vikings in Ann Arbor. The Wolverines looked like a completely different team, and program, as they ran roughshod over their Mid-American Conference opponents en route to a 101-53 win.

The Dusty May era got started on Monday night for the Michigan basketball program, and it got going with a bang. The Wolverines are coming off of one of their worst seasons ever, and they made a coaching change in the offseason in an attempt to fix things.

Expectations for the Dusty May era were through the roof, and somehow, the new Michigan basketball head coach exceeded them. Sure, the first game was against Cleveland State, but the Wolverines were fast, scoring machines, and pesky on the defensive side of the court.
