Regardless of the epic narrative Dragon Age: The Veilguard is telling, interacting with the world by getting to know the game's characters and their stories is part of the series's identity. Although Dragon Age: The Veilguard possesses the element of fantasy, there is some realism to it, like the fact you can romance certain companions. While it’s not heavily focused on, players can still steal some intimate moments with their desired companion to get some romance going.

The Veilguard’s party is probably the best BioWare has introduced in the series since it began in 2009. It’s the smallest group, with only seven members filling the titular team, but each of them acts as a window into the rich world of Thedas.
