CENTURION: Tilak Varma hit a maiden international century as India beat South Africa by 11 runs in the third Twenty20 International here at the SuperSport Park on Wednesday. The 22-year-old left-hander smashed an unbeaten 107 off 56 balls in an Indian total of 219-6.

Tilak Varma, 22, became India's second centurion in the in the T20I format with an excellent 107*(56) against South Africa.

Tilak Varma became the second youngest Indian player to score a century in a men's T20I in a scintillating individual performance against South Africa.

Varma, who batted at No. 4 in Durban and Gqueberha scoring 33 and 20, respectively, went in at No. 3 in Centurion on Wednesday

Thanks to Tilak Varma's fireworks, India got to 219/6 at the end of their 20 overs, setting South Africa a required rate of 11 runs per over.

The 22-year-old forged a 52-ball 107-run partnership with fellow leftie Abhishek Sharma to steer India to 100 runs in just 8.1 overs.
