The Veilguard has an excellent cast of characters, almost all of which are new to the series. However, it looks like there were once plans for a few characters from previous games to appear as party members.

Harding is the first romanceable companion you'll meet in Dragon Age: The Veilguard. The fact you can romance Harding is exciting for many players, since you could flirt with her in Inquisition but couldn't actually begin a relationship with her.
